Deploy Odoo on Your VPS

Deploy Odoo on your VPS in one click. Open-source ERP and CRM — sales, invoicing, inventory, accounting, and HR in one suite, paired with PostgreSQL.

Odoo is a full business suite in one application: CRM and sales, quotations and invoicing, inventory and purchasing, accounting, HR, projects, and a website builder — plus thousands of community apps for everything else. It is the open-source answer to a stack of separate SaaS subscriptions, and self-hosting means your customer and financial records stay on infrastructure you control.

Vessl deploys Odoo with a dedicated PostgreSQL service. On the first visit you create your database and admin user. The database master password — the one that guards creating, restoring, and dropping databases — is generated for you and enforced from the start; Odoo's own shipped default for it is the word "admin", which is not something to leave on a public URL.

What's included

  • Odoo + PostgreSQL deployed together as a connected stack
  • CRM, sales, invoicing, inventory, accounting, HR, and a site builder
  • Database master password generated and enforced, not left as "admin"
  • Thousands of community apps installable from inside Odoo
  • Persistent volumes for the filestore and your custom addons

Common use cases

  • Running a business on one open-source suite instead of five SaaS tools
  • ERP where customer and financial data must stay on your own server
  • A base for custom modules, mounted through the addons volume

Frequently asked questions

What is the database master password for?

It guards Odoo's database manager — creating, duplicating, restoring, and dropping databases. Odoo ships with it set to the literal word "admin", so this template generates a real one instead. Copy it from the deploy form; you need it to create your first database.

Which version does this deploy?

Odoo 18, pinned to a dated build so a redeploy gets the same image. 18 rather than 19 because the third-party addon ecosystem — usually the reason to run Odoo — still largely targets it.

Can I install custom modules?

Yes. The addons directory is a persistent volume, so modules you place there survive redeploys, and community apps install from within Odoo as normal.
